Covid-19 Curbs Extended In Haryana

Curbs extended till Feb 10


On Wednesday, the Haryana government extended the Covid-19 curbs and restrictions in the state till February 10.



The decision comes a day after the Haryana government announced that schools for Classes 10-12 will reopen from February 10. Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal on Tuesday tweeted, "The Haryana government has decided to reopen schools for Classes 10-12 from February 10."



According to the Haryana State disaster management authority (HSDMA), the order stated a Covid guideline which mentions the Covid curbs have been extended till February 10. The guidelines state, the government is permitted to open malls and markets till 7 pm.

 

Essential services including pharmacies/medical shops and supplies like milk allowed to remain open. Knowing about closure, the cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, sports complex, swimming pool, and gyms will remain close in the state. Government and private offices, except for essential services to function with 50% staff attendance. A night curfew that was imposed in Haryana will continue from 11 pm to 5 am across the state.



To check the spread of the infection, the state government had banned people eligible for vaccination but not fully vaccinated from entering shopping malls, cinema halls, restaurants, and grain markets, among other crowded places, starting January 1. The cases are gradually rising in the state and to curb the infection level, the state government is implementing several guidelines to curb the infection level in the state.




According to the bulletin, Haryana reported 6,351 cases of COVID on Wednesday, which took the overall active cases to 39,565 in the state.
