Covid-19: Delta plus cases in Maharashtra rise to 45. Out of these 27 cases are of men and 18 are women.


As per the information, Health Minister, Rajesh Tope on Sunday informed that the delta plus cases in Maharashtra increased to 45. He said the number of Delta plus cases of Covid-19 has increased from 21 and now includes 27 men and 18  women. He said " we are collecting information from patients on vaccinations, illness and tracking operations are in progress. There's no cause for concern as of now."

Maharashtra has been worst-hit by Delta variant cases, with 13 patients from Jalgaon, 11 from Ratnagiri, 6 from Thane, 5 from Pune,  3 each from Palghar, Sindhudurg, Nandurbar, Aurangabad, Kolhapur and Beed.

Whereas Delta variant of Covid-19  was first found in India, has now mutated further from the Delta plus to AY.1 variant. Meanwhile,  on Sunday Maharashtra reported 5,508 new COVID-19 cases which took the overall tally to 63,53,327 out of which 71,510 are active cases.
