Covid-19 tracker developed by Centre to provide vaccine updates

The Centre also revealed this new COVID-19 vaccine tracker will provide week-by-week data and update on vaccine doses administered.

Covid-19 has led to the development of many apps and other information related things. Meanwhile, vaccination drives are speeding up across the country to stop the spread of the prevailing virus. With the fear of the third wave which is predicted to hit the country in the coming months, vaccination is speeding up as well as information related to vaccines will also be provided through the Covid -19 tracker.

Talking about the Covid-19 tracker, which has been developed by the Centre, it will provide details related to the Covid-19 vaccine and vaccination. On 9th September, the Union Ministry of health and family welfare said that a new COVID-19 vaccine tracker is being developed in India which would contain vaccination-related information. Whereas the Centre revealed this new COVID-19 vaccine tracker will provide week-by-week data and update on vaccine doses administered.

This information was announced by ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava. He said, “The data have been synergized based on ICMR identification number and the basis of mobile numbers. We have been able to get a vaccine tracker which is going to be online very soon on the Ministry of Health's website.”
