Covid Restrictions Relaxed In Uttarakhand

Cases decline in the state!


After witnessing a slowdown in daily cases of Covid-19. The Uttarakhand state has relaxed a few restrictions in the state and has re-opened other activities which were closed during the Covid-19 peak.



According to the new guidelines, the state has permitted swimming pools and water parks to reopen from March 1. Because of the decline in the number of Covid-19 infections, the government has also decided that full office attendance will be resumed from March 1 but the ban on political rallies and dharnas will continue till March 10.



Further guidelines mentioned that a night curfew imposed in the state on December 27 to rein in a spike in pandemic cases was lifted, and gyms, shopping malls, cinema halls, spas, salons, theatres, auditoriums, and meeting halls were also allowed to reopen with full capacity.



Many other states are lifting Covid-19 led restrictions in the state. The National capital Delhi is also permitted to ply in the metro with full capacity along with standing passengers. Also, fine charges for not wearing a mask have been reduced to rupees 500 in the capital city, night curfew gets lifted, bars, restaurants, malls, and shopping complexes comprising parks and public. Gathering places are all permitted to ply in the National capital. 



Uttarakhand currently had assembly elections for which Covid restrictions were not removed in the state. After which a new notification has been out today stating relaxation and guidelines.



According to the data, The Uttarakhand state currently witnessed 2,330 active Covid-19 led cases.
