5 CRPF Personnels kiiled in two seperate firing incidents


Four CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) were shot dead when one of the colleage opened fire on them in insurgency-hit Sukma district in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.

“In a case of fratricide, constable Reetesh Ranjan of CRPF’s 50th battalion opened fire upon company personnel at Lingalapalli camp situated at Maraiguda in Sukma. The exact reason that triggered the incident would be known soon. Ranjan used AK -47 rifle to shoot,” a police official said. 

Meanwhile, a Para-military trooper shot himself dead in Lethapora area of South  Kashmir's Pulwama district.
 
The CRPF man was posted at 185 Battalion Group Centre Lethpora. Official  sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the trooper died on spot after shot himself with his service rifle.
 
The deceased trooper has been identified as  Bupinder Singh, a resident of  Bharatpur Rajasthan.

Police in this regard have registered a case and set investigation into motion.
