37 doctors test positive for Covid-19


Covid 19 cases are incessantly increasing in India, which is reeling under the second wave.On Thursday, PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with all the  Chief Ministers regarding the spike in cases of Covid 19. The meeting was held via video conferencing.

Meanwhile, 37 doctors of a private facilities in Ganga Ram Hospital have tested positive for Covid-19. As per the information, Out of these 32 doctors are under home quarantine and 5 of them are admitted. A majority of them have mild symptoms. According to the source, these doctors were  treating covid-19  patients at the hospital and they got infected with it. Ganga Ram Hospital has been among the facilities which has been in the limelight in the fight against the pandemic from almost a year.

As per the latest order given by Delhi Government, it said to increase the total number of beds for Covid-19  patients. For Lok Nayak Hospital it has been increased from 1000 to 1500 and for GTB Hospital it is 500 to 1000.

According to the City Health Department, " Delhi recorded 7,437 fresh covid-19 cases on Thursday, the highest single-day surge this year, while 24 people died due to Covid-19 infection".
