Delhi High Court issues notice to Centre and DCGI against clinical trial of children COVID-19 vaccine

Dr. VK Paul, member of NITI Aayog, reported on the corona vaccine for 2–18-year-olds on Tuesday. According to Dr. VK Paul, the DCGI has been approved for clinical trials of covaxin on children aged 2–18 years.


Preparations have also begun to save children in the country amid the wave of second havoc of Coronavirus infection. Under this, the country will soon get a corona vaccine for children, because the vaccine is ready for trial. At the same time, in the latest development, the Delhi High Court approached the Drug Controller General of India with the Central Government on a PIL challenging DCGI for Phase 2-3 trials of covaxin for children aged 2-18. A complaint was also filed for years. Notice has been issued. Along with this, the Delhi High Court has refused to issue a notice and has put an interim stay on the clinical trial.

On Tuesday, Dr. VK Paul, member of NITI Aayog, gave big news about the corona vaccine for children of 2-18 years. According to Dr. VK Paul, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has been approved for clinical trials of covaxin on children between 2–18 years of age. They have also informed us that its clinical trial will begin in 10 to 12 days. NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul said that for the treatment of corona, we will examine DRDO drug in Covid-19 National Task Force and decide to include it in the Corona Treatment Protocol. The DCGI of India has approved its emergency use.

Experts are constantly claiming that children will be exposed to a large number of coronavirus infections during the third wave. In Delhi alone, 4000 beds are being prepared in many big hospitals including AIIMS, so that children can be admitted and treated here if they are suffering.
