Delhi Reports 517 fresh Covid-19 cases

The positivity rate dips from 5.33 percent to 4.21 percent!


National Capital bounces back with rising in Covid-19 cases. The cases in the capital city have touched 517 in the last 24 hours. Whereas taking the Positivity rate to 4.21 percent. Also, there's a dip in the Positivity rate; it was 5.33 percent the day before. Meanwhile, no deaths have been reported.

 

The number of cases has gone up but the positivity rate has gone down. The total number of positive patients in Delhi is 1,518, which is the highest since March 3 this year.

 

The positivity rate in Delhi has been registered at more than one percent since April 4 when it had stood at 1.34 percent. As the Covid positivity rate in the national capital jumped from 0.57 percent on April 1 to 5.33 percent on April 16. However, it dipped to 4.21 percent on Sunday. 

 

As per the survey it says, the number of people in Delhi-NCR reporting someone getting COVID in their close social network has risen by 500% in the last 15 days, a recent survey has claimed.

 

The number of active patients in Delhi now stands at 1,518. The positivity rate has now dropped to 4.21 percent. The city had conducted 12,270 COVID tests in the past 24 hours. 

 

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will meet on April 20 to discuss the rise in Covid cases and also decide upon reimposing the penalty for not wearing a face mask.
