Delhi runs out of Covishield vaccine

Delhi has exhausted its Covishield Covid-19 vaccine stock.

On Monday, Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia said that several Government-run vaccination Centres will be closed on Tuesday because the city has exhausted its Covishield Covid-19 vaccination stock. He also tweeted that, "Vaccines have run out in Delhi again. The central Government gives vaccines for a day or two, then we have to keep the vaccine centres closed for several days. Why is our Country's vaccine programme faltering even after so many days?"

Not only the National capital, but Maharashtra has also raised its concern regarding the Covid-19 vaccination.

According to the reports by CoWin an average of 61.14 Lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered daily I week of June 21-27, after which from 28 onwards there's a downfall in jabs to 41.92 lakh doses again later on July 5 onwards there's a decline which touched 34.32 lakh doses. Meanwhile, the Centre plans to inoculate the entire population of the Country by end of December.
