Delhi school won't open unless there is a vaccine


Schools of Delhi are likely to remain shut until there is a vaccine against coronavirus. Satyendra Jain, Delhi health minister on Thursday at a Press briefing said that," There are no plans to open the school as of now a vaccine is likely to become available soon until we are completely sure about the situation being in the control schools are unlikely to open in Delhi". With 61,000 tests being administered Delhi Had reported just 5,000 cases on Wednesday and the positivity rate number of samples that return positive among those tested has dipped to 8.49%.

On Wednesday the positivity rate was less than 8.5 % on 7th of November the positivity rate in Delhi was around 15.2% in the last three weeks the positivity rate has been going down continuously the rate has tied 15.3% on November 15.

The government has been working on increasing the number of tests, especially the more accurate RT- PCR test, after the meeting with the Union Home minister ten days ago.

According to Satyendra Jain, " we are trying to increase the number of RT -PCR test over 35,000 samples are being collected the lab they were capacity of 35,000 but they are unable to give report within a day now you will hear people say that the samples were collected two or three days ago and has reached a saturation level.

There have been around hundred deaths each day for the last 10 days in the national Capital, because of the pandemic. Yesterday the C.M. had a meeting with the experts on the prevailing situation. .According  to the data provided by the  corona app,"the government has increased the number of incentive care unit ( ICU ) beds by 843 in the last five days ".
