Devang Gandhi appointed as Bengal U-19 coach

The U-19 Bengal trials which will begin from Wednesday


Former India and Bengal cricketer Devang Gandhi was now appointed as the head coach of the U-19 side by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Tuesday. The U-19 Bengal trials which will begin from Wednesday(today).

In the statement of CAB Hony, Secretary Snehashis Ganguly said, in international cricket, Devang Gandhi always has been an undoer, he is a sporty cricketer for Bengal. Getting him as a coach now will help millions of young cricketers to have a playing cricket with a positive mindset.

Devang Gandhi has played for 95 first-class and 98 lists, where now it will be a second homecoming for him. He adds it will be a new challenge in developing and nurturing the fresh young players, Looking forward to the assignment. In addition, Devang Gandhi was also featured for India in 4 Tests and 3 ODIsNot withstanding, At the beginning of his international career, Devang's weakness was opposed to short-pitched bowling in his days as Indian openers were numbered.
