"Don't keep mask hanging from chin" Mamata Banerjee on Covid-19 spike

Covid-19 cases are increasing in West Bengal and nearby states


West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged people to wear face masks properly and follow appropriate Covid-19 behaviour. Covid-19 cases are again speeding up and spreading their wings in west Bengal and nearby states. 


 

According to the statement, The Chief Minister said, "please wear the mask properly.  The number of Covid-19 cases registered a spike after the Durga puja. Hence, you must follow the Covid-19 safety precautions,  do not keep the mask hanging from your chin."


 

With the arrival of the upcoming Diwali festival, the public rush will lead to an increase in Covid-19 cases. As after Durga puja, the cases are touching the peak. It is creating fear in the mind of the people and the state Chief Minister is also appealing to follow appropriate guidelines.  Covid-19 has shown a deadly environment during the Pandemic, for which states and other cities are gearing up to and implementing several guidelines for the festival as a precautionary measure. 


According to the report, The daily Covid-19 tally crossed the 900 mark on Sunday. Around 989 cases were reported which took the overall tally to 1,586,455. A total of 18,928,189 samples have been tested for Covid-19 and 71,803,863 beneficiaries of which 52,173,222 of them have been inoculated with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination and 19,630,64q have been inoculated with the second dose.
