137 students fall ill due to food poisoning in Karnataka...
On February 7 2023, a report was registered that nearly 137 students of nursing and Para-Medicine fell ill because of suspected food poisoning at a private hostel on Monday in Mangaluru's shaktinagar.
As per the information received, the students were rushed to the different private hospitals on Monday night. They had experienced stomach aches, vomiting, and diarrhea since 2 Am.
According to the city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, nearly 400 to 500 relatives gathered outside the hospitals at about 9 p.m., where the students were admitted. He further added that they are trying to find out the reason.
Following the information, the district health inspector, Dr. Ashok said that all the students are out of danger and they will visit the hostel to investigate the reason.
