Meanwhile, the schools and colleges in the National capital have been shut due to incessant rise in pollution. All the construction activities are forcefully stopped as per the notice by the authority.

What is an odd-even scheme?

It is implemented in Delhi earlier, due to the incessant rise in pollution levels. Vehicles also play a major role in hampering the environment in terms of pollution levels. Only cars have ending digits with even numbers. 2,4,6,8 can ply one day and other odd digits vehicles will ply over another day alternatively.

Pollution levels in the states such as Delhi, Haryana,Noida and some parts of Uttar Pradesh are covered badly under pollution. The states are implementing several guidelines, schemes, and programs to curb the pollution level of the state.
