Festival brings out positivity, vibrancy, harmony: PM Modi on Onam festival 2021

President Ram Nath Kovind and M Venkaiah Naidu also greeted on the occasion of Onam.


On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people on the occasion of the Onam festival. PM Modi tweeted, "best wishes on the special occasion of Onam, a festival associated with positivity, vibrancy, brotherhood and harmony. I pray for everyone's good health and wellbeing."

Meanwhile, many more ministers and personalities greeted on the occasion of Onam including, President Ram Nath Kovind who said that the festival Onam promotes harmony, love, fraternity in the society. He said," On the auspicious occasion of Onam, I extend my greeting and best wishes to all fellow citizens especially the brothers and sisters of Kerala living in India and abroad."

Vice president M Venkaiah Naidu also greeted and said, "my warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Onam today. It marks the beginning of the harvesting season in various parts of the country. Onam also honoured the memory of Great King Mahabali of Kerala and was celebrated for his nobility and generosity. #onam. May the vibrant festival bring peace, prosperity and happiness for all. #onam #onam2021."

Onam is celebrated in Kerala. It is a 10-day affair, the three important days started this time with August 20 will end with Avittam on Sunday with Thiruvonam on Saturday being the most important day.
