FIR filed against the organiser of AP Dhillon’s concert

Jahnvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Khan attended AP Dhillon’s concert in Mumbai


The Vakola Police have registered an FIR against the organiser of Canadian singer AP Dhillon’s concert for violating Covid-19 protocols. The concert was held at a hotel in Santacruz.

 

According to the officials, the FIR was filed against one Siddhesh Khoaskar, who had organised the event. “We have booked in under sections 188 and 269 of the Indian Penal Code, 51B of the Disaster Management Act. We have also sent a notice to him,” Sunayana Nate, Senior Police Inspector. 

 

The organiser had taken all the required permissions from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) but did not follow the guidelines. 

 

The videos of the concert went viral on social media as soon as the concert started and the police team reached the hotel to check if Covid-19 norms were being followed. 

 

“We reached the hotel at around 9:30 pm and intervened after finding out that Covid-19 norms were not being followed. The venue was overcrowded,” according to a police officer from Vakola police station.  

 

The event was attended by the likes of actors Jahnvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and her brother Ibrahim Khan.

 

Jahnvi Kapoor attended the event with an injured arm. She has just finished the shooting for Milli, a Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Helen, produced by her father Boney Kapoor.

 

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan will soon be seen in Atrangi Re, which will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on December 24. 

 

Before this, AP Dhillon’s concert was held in Delhi which was attended by Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh who were shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in the capital city.
