Goa cancels class 10 exams, the decision for class 12 in two days


The Goa Government has decided to cancel 10 exams and the decision for class 12 will be taken in the coming days. Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, confirmed that the decision has been taken to cancel the class 10 exam (senior secondary certificate) examinations due to the pandemic situation. He further added that "The decision was taken following the recommendation of the committee of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, State Department of Education, Experts from the education field and others."

It also talked about the promotion of class 10 students for next year based on the marks obtained in the internal assessment of examinations held during the academic year 2020 - 21. Whereas students who have failed in more than two subjects can appear for the Allowed to keep terms (ATKT) examinations, meanwhile students who want to opt for science further have to undergo a one-day examination which will be conducted by the Goa Board. Meanwhile, Goa has also extended the Corona curfew till 31st May.
