Gorakhpur becomes free of Coronavirus

On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the Gorakhpur in the east part of the state has zero Covid-19 cases.  

As per the statement given by Yogi Adityanath on koo application, he said, "In Gorakhpur, the holy land of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ji, the number of corona infected has become zero today. This achievement is due to the active participation of the District Administration,  the tireless work of the committed health workers and disciplined cooperation from honourable and dedicated public representatives and the people of Gorakhpur".

 

The Covid-19 cases are declining in the Uttar Pradesh state and the night curfew has been lifted in the state. The Covid scenario was scary during the second wave. India has witnessed bad hits of the deadly virus,  many lost their lives gasping for oxygen, many lost due to insufficient beds and medication.  The cases are now slowing down, India is returning to its normal schedule.

 

As per the Union Health Ministry,  on Saturday, the active Covid-19 cases were below 100 since October.  The cases went down by four and stands at 91. The state recorded just five new Covid-19 cases and 1 fatality in the last 24 hours. 

 

According to the health ministry, India recorded 10,929 fresh Covid-19 cases that took its infection tally to 3,43,44,683 while 392 fatalities pushed the death toll to  4,60,265.
