Omicron cases speeding up!


On Monday, Gujarat gets its fourth case of a new Covid-19 variant According to the health department official, it said, A 42-year-old man from surat who recently returned from South Africa tested positive for the omicron variant Coronavirus.

 

The cases of omicron are quite concerning day after another one or two cases of the new variant are popping up. The fear in the mind is really concerning. With the arrival of the new year and Christmas, public gatherings also take place. The risk of getting contaminated is questionable.

 

Gujarat carries three cases of omicron which were reported from Jamnagar in Gujarat including a 72 years NRI man who returned from Zimbabwe, his wife, and Brother in law.

 

According to the Statement given by Deputy municipal commissioner, Ashik Naik said, "He has arrived at Delhi airport from South Africa via Kenya and Abu Dhabi on December 3. He tested negative after he was hospitalized briefly for isolation, he tested positive again on December 8 and was detected with a new Omicron variant." As per the information, the patient is under treatment and in-home isolation."

 

Several states and union territories have implemented Covid new guidelines keeping the new variant in the mind. Also, a mandatory RT -PCR test for Covid-19 is being conducted in the arrival and departure at airports and other allocated places.
