Gujarat Titans beats Sunrises Hyderabad in a thriller by 5 wickets

Rashid khan won the thriller on the last ball


On Wednesday night the match was played between Sunrises Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. Gujarat Titans won on the last ball of the match.

Gujarat Titans needed 3 runs to win, Rashid Khan hit the winning six on the last of the match. They needed 22 runs in the last over to win the match.

Gujarat Titans needed 35 runs to win in the last two overs. Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia were present at the crease, they scored 13 runs in Natarajan’s 19th over.

In the 20th over Marco Jansen, Rashid khan and Rahul Tewatia scored 25 runs.  

Chasing a target of 196 runs, Gujarat Titans began on a positive note. Saha started the chase by targeting the SRH bowlers all round the ground. Despite losing wickets at the end Saha didn’t lose his focus and reached his fifty in the 11th over of the inning.

Umran Malik had all the limelight with extreme pace and ended his spell by picking 5 wickets. This was his first 5-fer in the IPL but this was not enough to win the match for the team. Umran didn’t get any support from other bowlers.

Earlier, Markram and Abhishek had a good start both the batsmen hit half-centuries in good conditions of battings. Mohammed Shami had cleaned up SRH captain Kane Williamson at the start of the inning and also got Rahul Tripathi LBW with the help of DRS.

In the last over of SRH inning, Shashank Singh hits hat-trick of sixes on Ferguson bowling and scored a total of 25 off the last over.

Sunrisers Hyderabad 195/6 in 20 overs (Abhishek Sharma 65; Mohammed Shami 3-39) lost to Gujarat Titans 199/5 in 20 overs (Saha 68; Umran Malik 5-25) by five wickets
