Haryana CM to meet PM Narendra Modi today

Ahead of nationwide farmers protest


 On Thursday, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal khattar will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  As per the sources, Meeting will take place at 10:30 am today in the National Capital.

The meeting comes a day after the centre  made an announcement to repeal the three farm laws initiated by the Central Government. Also, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) made a call for a nationwide protest to mark the first anniversary of the farmer's protest on November 26.


As per the statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the centre will bring necessary bills in the winter session of parliament this month. The PM also announced that the government will constitute a committee to work on a new framework for Minimum support price(MSP).


As per the sources, the Haryana cabinet meeting will take place today at 3 pm at Haryana civil secretariat.


Rakesh Tikait, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader said, 60 tractors will head to the parliament in the National Capital on November 29 as a part of the tractor March to press for a statutory guarantee on Minimum support price (MSP) for crops and other things.


The farmers have been protesting for about a year for the three Farm laws implemented by the Central Government which was passed in 2020. The farm laws repeal bill,2021seeks to repeal the farmer's trade produce trade and commerce (promotion and facilitation) act 2020. The farmers (empowerment and protection ( agreement and price assurance, farm services act,2020 and the essential commodities act (amendment) 2020.
