Covaxin Trail Volunteer Anil Vij Tested Positive Of COVID-19
Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij, 67 who had volunteered for the Phase 3 trials of the Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin on November 20 made an announcement via his twitter profile that he has been tested positive and is now admitted to Civil Hospital in Ambala. The health minister also requests all those who were in close proximity with him to kindly get themselves tested.
Covaxin has been assessed in about 1000 people in the first two phases of clinical trials with optimistic safety and immunogenicity for the human body according to the data.
So far the state of Haryana has reported over 2.4 lakh COVID-19 cases and over 2,539 deaths due to the virus.
In August earlier the Chief Minister of Haryana has also tested positive of Coronavirus infection and was admitted to a private hospital in Gurugram.
