Health Minister To Review Covid-19 Scenario

Meeting to be chaired For 9 States And UT


On Tuesday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a virtual meeting with 9 States and Union territories to review the Covid-19 scenario. 


As per the information, the Union Health Minister will interact with the health Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chandigarh.


According to the statement, Union Health Minister has told these states to utilize effectively the fun provided under ECRP -|| for strengthening the health infrastructure across the country and urged the states to make robust preparations in terms of physical infrastructure.


The Covid-19 cases in India are declining. On Monday, India reported 3,06,064cases of Covid and 439 deaths related to the infection in the last 24 hours. The overall death has touched to 4,89,848 in the country.


Ahead of the assembly polls, the Covid cases are fluctuating, on Monday the Uttarakhand state extended its Covid restrictions till Jan 31 across the state. Also, the Uttar Pradesh state reported 11,000 new cases of Covid-19 and 17 deaths related to the virus.

 

The death toll in the state has touched to 23,073. As per the information, it mentions the deaths were reported from Moradabad, two from Varanasi and Azamgarh. Other states like National Capital Delhi and NCR region Haryana are reporting fluctuating cases.

 

Someday cases are at peak meanwhile, other day cases decline. The capital city is currently under restrictions and Weekend Curfew. 


Also, the vaccination coverage has been speeded, India's vaccination coverage has crossed 162 77 crores with 49 lakh doses being administered till 7 pm on Monday.
