IMD issues warning for very heavy rainfall for Tamil Nadu

Warning has been issued for the next 5 days


The India meteorological department (IMD) has issued a warning for very heavy rainfall for the next 5 days for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has also issued an alert for the states.

According to the statement given by the met department it said, "A cyclonic circulation lies over southwest and adjoining the southeast bay of Bengal and extends up to mid-tropospheric levels. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. It is likely to move towards Sri Lanka and south Tamil Nadu coast " said the department.

As per the Statement given by the met department, it also said," isolated to very heavy rainfall very likely over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and Karaikal during next 24 to 28 November." 

The India meteorological department (IMD) said, light to moderate scattered/fairly widespread rainfall very likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh and the Yamuna, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and mahe and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during next 5 days." Predicted IMD.


Tamil Nadu has been witnessing very heavy rainfall for the last few weeks. The state is completely flooded with water. The water level in the state is creating difficulty for the daily commuters to move.Not only Tamil Nadu, also, the  Andhra Pradesh state is completely underwater. The state is full of flood-like scenarios.
