In Mathura, 5 dead and 1 injured in car-bus collision

Five people died in a road accident on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura


A painful accident took place on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning. The accident happened after a collision between a car and a bus. The bus broke through the divider and entered the second lane and rammed into a car.

Police said that Five people died and one was injured in a head-on collision between a private bus and a car on Yamuna Expressway on Friday.


They Further added; The incident took place under Naujheel Police Station of Mathura district. People of the car were going to Kanpur from Noida to invite a minister for a program.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Netra Pal Singh said; The deceased have been identified as Shiv Sagar Yadav, his mother Prem Lata, Gaurav Yadav, and Aryan.


The driver of the private bus, who also died in the incident, has been identified as Balwant Singh of Pathankot, he said.


Police said that prima facie it has been found that the bus driver had blinked, after which the bus became uncontrollable and it went to another side breaking the divider. Four people were in the bus, all four of them have died in the accident.


According to DSP, the incident occurred during the early hours of Friday morning, when driver of the Delhi-bound private bus lost its control and ran across the divider.

A private car coming from Noida rammed into the bus, resulting in the instant death of four occupants of the car, he said.


“The impact of the collision was such that the car virtually entered the bus. The occupants of the car could be taken out only after detaching the car from the bus.


 

The DSP added that The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem, while the sole injured, Nikki alias Mohnish Yadav, has been admitted in City Lifeline hospital of Mathura.
