India Beat West Indies By 17 Runs To Win The Series By 3-0

Nicolas Pooran scored his third consecutive half-century against India


India defeated West Indies in the third and final T-20I by 17 runs to win the series by 3-0. The hosts were given to bat first in which they scored a total of 184 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.

 

Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli were not available for the finale as they were given a break from India’s bio-bubble by the BCCI.

 

Surya and Venkatesh Iyer performed brilliantly. Surya Kumar Yadav scored a half-century to give the visitors a huge target.

 

Meanwhile, Indian bowlers proved their worth once again as they stopped the host from chasing the target. West Indies scored 167 with the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

 

West Indies wicket-keeper batsman Nicolas Pooran scored his third consecutive half-century against India in this series. He scored a total of 61 runs in 47 balls which consists of 8 fours and 1 six.

 

Deepak Chahar limped off the field after failing to complete the third overdue to a hamstring injury, Harshal Patel (3/22), Venkatesh Iyer (2/23 from 2.1 overs) and Shardul Thakur (2/33) performed their tasks impressively to defend India's 184/5.

 

India dominated the whole match and the series. India won the series by 3-0.
