India may start a vaccine trial, from January, Harsh Vardhan.

According to ongoing progress the health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, soon the vaccine would be available to all by the mid january.


India could begin vaccinating against COVID-19 in January, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, adding that the government's priority was the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. "I personally feel that it could be in January at any stage or in any week, there could be a time when we could be in a position to give the first Covid vaccine to the people of India," Harsh Vardhan told  in a statement. The minister said the drug regulator was reviewing the policies that applied to authorize emergency use

"India is no smaller than any other country when it comes to vaccines and the COVID-19 study. Our priority is the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. We do not want any concessions to that. Our regulators are seriously reviewing it," he said. The Minister said on Saturday that national scientists and health professionals would work with a traditional vaccine and in the next six to seven months, India would have the potential to vaccinate about 30 crore people. Later he said while addressing a ministerial meeting that scientists and many health professionals since the start have continuously worked on development of genome-specific vaccines by monitoring the coronavirus classification through that developed a traditional medicine. If the things work out in at most 6-7 month, it'll be including 30 crores of people. India has almost 6 leading vaccines that have been recruited for the trials that are Covaxin, ZyCoV-D, COVIDSHIELD, NVX-CoV2373, a protein antigen-based vaccine and Sputnik V.

Apart from this, three COVID-19 vaccines are in the pre-clinical phase and one is in the pre-development phase, said union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan. India could vaccinate about 30 crore people in 6 to 7 months, the minister said.
