India Recorded 1,200 COVID-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours

The recovery rate is currently at 98.75 per cent!


New Delhi: On Wednesday, India reported 1,233 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 4, 30, and 23,215. The country also recorded 31 deaths related to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death count to 5, 21,070, according to the Health Ministry.

The Union health ministry data showed active cases declined to 14,704, comprising 0.03 per cent of the total infections.

The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.75 per cent, adding that the daily positivity rate was at 0.22 per cent.

According to the Co-WIN dashboard, Over 183.73 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far in the country.

In the last few weeks, China has seen its worst COVID outbreak since the initial height of the pandemic in early 2020 when the economy slumped. The latest surge in cases could hit first-quarter gross domestic product by at least half of a percentage.
