India Records Over 3,000 New Covid Cases

29 of Deaths In 24 Hours!


India witnessed a surge in its daily tally and Covid-19 cases. The cases in the country touched 3,000 new cases carrying 29 deaths related to the infection in the last 24 hours.

 

According to Union Health Ministry data, the overall tally is 4,31,05,401, while the active cases dipped to 20,403.

 

The active cases comprise 0.05 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.74 percent, the ministry said.

 

A decrease of 232 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.95 percent and the weekly positivity rate as 0.82 percent, according to the ministry.

 

Covid-19 cases were so horrific during the pandemic that cases were incessantly increasing in the country. India was among the worst-hit countries witnessing a large number of Covid cases.

 

Delhi and Mumbai were the hotbeds of Covid-19. At present India’s tally of Covid cases stands at 4,31,05,401.

As many as 1,90,34,90,396 people have been vaccinated against the Covid, including 13,50,622 vaccinations in the last 24 hours. Also, 3,36,776 tests were done during the previous day.

 

Meanwhile, the capital city is under several Covid-19 rules. Wearing face masks is mandatory in public places as well as maintaining social distancing is mandatory in the city.
