India Reports 12,899 New Covid Cases In a Day

Surge in Daily Covid-19 tally!


On Monday, India recorded 12,781 fresh COVID-19 cases that pushed its infection tally to 4,33,09,473, while the number of active cases increased to 76,700.

 

According to Union health ministry data.

The death count climbed to 5,24,873 with 18 fresh fatalities. The active cases comprise 0.17 percent of the total infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.62 percent, the health ministry said.

 

An increase of 4,366 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.89 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 2.50 percent, the ministry said.

 

Delhi reported 1,530 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the Delhi government health bulletin on Sunday.

 

The national capital recorded 5,542 active cases. The bulletin said that 3,88,76,508 tests for coronavirus have been conducted so far and 37,501 persons were vaccinated against the disease in the last 24 hours.

 

A positivity rate of 8.41 percent was observed in the last 24 hours and the country's total COVID-19 active cumulative positive cases stood at 19,22,089.

 

Cases of the horrific coronavirus have been rising gradually in the country. Whereas inoculation of Covid shots and booster shots have also been speeded up in the country.
