India reports 2,593 New Covid Cases

44 Deaths in India!


The Covid-19 cases in India are incessantly increasing. The increments in the daily cases are worrying. Meanwhile, cities and several states have mandated the use of face masks and Covid-19 precautionary measures again.

 

On Sunday, according to the Union Health Ministry Data, it says 2,593 new coronavirus infections were reported yesterday, India's total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,30,57,545, while the active cases increased to 15,873.

 

The death count climbed to 5,22,193 with 44 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.

 

The active cases comprise 0.04 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded as 98.75 percent, the ministry said. An increase of 794 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in 24 hours.

 

The recovery of 1,755 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,25,19,479. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.75 percent.

 

Also in the same period, a total of 4,36,532 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall count to 83.47 crores.

 

While the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.54 percent, the daily positivity rate reported a considerable spike to 0.59 percent.

 

Whereas the National capital Delhi has permitted free booster dose shots of the Covid vaccine. The booster shorts are to be available free of cost for the eligible population at government centers.
