20 Deaths In 24 Hours
The cases of the vicious coronavirus are still under a count. India reports 4,369 cases of deadly Covid-19 taking the death count to 20 in the last 24 hours.
The death count climbed to 5,28,185 with 20 casualties in the last 24 hours.
The active cases comprise 0.10 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate increased to 98.71 per cent, the ministry said.
A decline of 829 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
While the daily positivity rate has marginally dropped to 1.25 per cent, the weekly positivity rate stood at 1.73 per cent.
Also in the same period, a total of 3,50,468 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall tally to over 88.99 crore.
As of Tuesday morning, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 215.47 crore.
Over 4.06 crore adolescents have been administered with a first dose of Covid-19 jab since the beginning of vaccination drive for this age bracket.
According to the ministry, 88.99 crore Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
