India Reports Over 2,000 Covid-19 Cases For Second Day In Row

Surge in Covid-19 cases!


India is again witnessing a surge in its daily Covid cases. The country had already witnessed a deadly scenario. The conditions were so horrific that even days can't be forgotten.

 

Around 2,000 new cases of Covid-19 has been reported in India. This increment came on the second day. . On Thursday, 2,380 new infections and 1,231 recoveries were reported in India. There are 13,433 active cases in the country at present.

 

The daily positivity rate as of Thursday morning was 0.53 per cent while the weekly positivity rate is 0.43 per cent, as per government data. Nearly 4.5 lakh tests were conducted in India in the last 24 hours.

 

National capital Delhi reported over 1,000 fresh cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. With 1,009 new infections, the city recorded the highest Covid-19 cases since February 10.

 

Where as, other National capital region (NCR) areas have been under a monitoring situation and also, masks have been made Mandatory in public places in Lucknow and NCR districts, including Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahr and Baghpat, Haryana and Delhi. 

 

Also the DDMA's guidelines states a fine for rupees 500 will be charged for violating Covid rule,for not wearing a face mask in the public areas.
