India vs England: Rishabh Pant reveals ball was thrown at Mohammed Siraj from stands

Earlier this year, the Australian crowd hurled racial abuse at Siraj in Sydney, after which a few spectators were evicted from the stands.

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj was yet again subjected to unruly behaviour during the third Test match against England. Rishabh Pant revealed at the end of first day's play that the spectators threw a ball at Siraj from the stands while he was fielding at the boundary line on Wednesday. Earlier this year, the Australian crowd hurled racial abuse at Siraj in Sydney, after which a few spectators were evicted from the stands.

The TV cameras showed an agitated Virat Kohli asking Siraj to throw the object out. When the media queried about the incident, Pant revealed that Kohli was upset because somebody from the crowd threw a ball at Siraj. He expressed concerns over the behaviour of people and said that one should not throw things at fielders as it is not good for cricket.

Similar such incident happened in the past, when during the Lord's Test, a few champagne bottle corks were popped near the boundary gallery. This incident too made Kohli angry as a few corks fell near the fielder KL Rahul.

Meanwhile, England bowled India out for 78 and scored 120 for no loss. The 27-year-old Siraj, who is the new sensation of the Indian cricket team, played an important role in the team's win in the second Test played at Lord's.
