India Witnesses Massive Rise In Covid Cases To 90,928

Night Curfew Imposed in Different States


 

On Thursday, India reported 90,928 new cases of New Covid-19 infection across the country with 325 deaths in the last 24 hours. The Country is witnessing a massive rise in the cases of Covid-19 which has also led to closure and restrictions in a few states.



According to the data given by the health Ministry it mentions 2, 85,401 are active cases of Covid and an increase of 71,397 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The country reports 19,206 recoveries which took the total number of recoveries to 3, 43, and 41,009. Around 495 are fresh cases of Omicron which took the daily tally to 2,630 and 995 recoveries. The further ministry also informed that 68.53 crore Covid tests have been conducted in the country with 148.67 crore vaccines under the Nationwide Vaccination drive.



With an incessant rise in the cases of Covid and omicron, few states are imposing restrictions like scenario and imposing night curfew to curb public movement and prevent them from getting infected with the virus. 



The Tamil Nadu State-imposed night curfew from today and also a complete lockdown has been implied in the state for Sunday. The information mentions the night curfew will commence from 10 pm to 5 am, No physical classes will be allowed for the students of class 1-9. However, the classes for 10, 11, &12 will be permitted in the state. During the lockdown, only essential services will be permitted in the state like medical, ATM, basic needs, fuel, and pumps. For rail and air, people need to show valid identification to commute.



Also, the Odisha state has implemented a night curfew in the state, it mentions the closure of schools and colleges, Anganwadi centers to remain shut, night curfew to take place in all urban area from 9 pm to 5 am, malls and shopping complexes have to be operated with a minimum number of customers, food courts to be opened only for take away purpose, no public gathering or rally is permitted in the states, cinema halls can play with only 50 percent capacity in the state.



The Covid cases are on the surge, day after another state, and UTs are implementing changes or improvising guidelines to curb the infection level. India witnessed a massive rise in daily cases, which creates an alarming situation in the country.
