IPL 2020 CSK V/S MI: Chennai Super Kings shattered like a house of cards, defeated by Mumbai Indians

MI won against CSK by 10 wickets

The 41st match of IPL was really distressing for Chennai's fans due to an unpleasant performance delivered yesterday. The team performed the worst of all time in this season which was really hard to gulp for the supporters. Their game has been deteriorating match by match which is quite indigestible for the loyal supporters of yellow army in this tournament. Mumbai Indians excellently threatened CSK in both the innings.

The battle fluttered from Sharjah Cricket Stadium with Mumbai Indians winning the toss and choosing to bowl. The bowling of MI was fierce enough to suppress their score to 114 runs on loss of 9 wickets. Chennai lost 5 wickets in power play, painting an unclear depiction of their game. The score also saw an unbelievable phase where Chennai lost 4 wickets, hitting 3 runs. The target set was pretty easy to chase.

The bowling credits would be unworthy without applauding indispensable efforts if Trent Boult who dismissed 4 wickets, bounding CSK to hit for boundaries by his astonishing deliveries, lending only 18 runs. Chennai's legendary players awfully came to the field and moved back to pavilion in a matter of few balls, without making a necessary contribution. Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar uprooted 2 wickets each while Nile took 1 wicket. The first inning initiated with confiscation of a wicket and ended with a wicket fading in mist.

From Chennai's side, Sam Curran managed to club 52 runs on 47 balls but that didn't make a difference. Mumbai Indians opened the innings with Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan.Rohit Sharma's absence didn't outlive the team's game. Kishan smashed 68 runs off 37 balls covering more than half of the target and became the highest scorer of the match. Quinton also knocked 46 runs off 37 balls and sustained his partnership with Kishan crossing the finish line in 12.2 overs. This is one of the huge wins for Mumbai.

MI's skipper Pollard was satisfied and happy that in Rohit's absence too, the team grabbed the win. He said, " The experience of IPL made me a leader and more than that, a teammate who supports others and musters others' support." The CSK skipper was deeply disappointed in the team's game and was unable to figure out where they are going wrong. They slipped to the bottom of points table.
