IPL 2020 DC V/S RCB: Delhi Capitals ruled the ground, defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets

The 55th match of IPL 2020 was a memorable treat for fans towards the end of this incredible season. Delhi Capitals once again proved that they completely deserve to play the playoffs. DC won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets. Both teams played astonishingly well and are currently part of top 4 teams in the points table. But this night belonged to Delhites and their celebration.

Anrich Nortje claimed the title of Player of the match by dismissing 3 wickets. He took crucial wickets of Devdutt Padikkal, Chris Morris and Udana, lending 33 runs. Kagiso Rabada uprooted two wickets, choking Bangalore to hit boundaries and Ashwin also took 1 wicket. The bowling presented by the team was flawless with tightened fielding.

The batting trend displayed by the team was commendable. Ajinkya Rahane slammed maximum runs by hitting 60 runs off 46 deliveries. He turned 6 deliveries straight to the boundary, threatening Royals. Shikhar Dhawan smashed 54 off 41 runs leaving the fans stunned. Rahane told to sources, "It was pleasant to bat on third. Our bowlers did a great job and laid a runway for us. It was a good partnership and communication with Shikhar Dhawan which revolved around intent to score and win." Padikkal scored the highest on Bangalore's side by hitting a fiery fifty on 41 balls but this didn't add much difference to turn the game in their favour.

DC's Skipper Shreyas Iyer was happy to win at the end and promised to make it through the playoffs and win the trophy by god's grace.
