The 30th match of IPL originated a wave of satisfaction and pride among Delhi Capitals' fans. The team defeated Rajasthan Royals by 13 runs in Dubai International Stadium proving that their last defeat from Mumbai Indians was just a catapult pull back to pounce even stronger and better. After winning, DC is leading the points table with 6 wins out of 8 matches, highest till this morning.

The hoots of victory were echoing in the field from the moment DC won the toss and chose to bat the field. With a commendable demonstration of both batting and bowling by the players, they gave a reason to fans to love them more. They posted a decent score of 161 runs on the loss of 7 wickets. Rajasthan indeed gave its level best to chase the 162 run target but their efforts lagged relatively.

With an astounding heartwarming performance by Shikhar Dhawan hitting 57 runs off 33 balls and Shreyas Iyer hitting 53 runs off 43 balls, Delhi got a score boost up to appreciate in their incredible win. Shikhar pulled up 6 fours and 2 sixes forcing the audience to leave the seats to cheer. Shreyas Iyer got injured during the match. Dhawan on his behalf affirmed that Iyer is in pain but his shoulder is moving. Reports will confirm the condition. On Iyer's behalf he added, “We want to keep the momentum going and stay at the top of the table."

Anrich Nortje, the Man of the Match took 2 wickets in 4 overs, delivering at 155 kmph rate leaving Royals and fans bewildered. Tushar Deshpande uprooted the crucial wicket of Stokes and one another with his flawless bowling. R Ashwin, Axar Patel and Rabada gathered 1 wicket each. Ben Stokes played a squeezing innings for Capitals smashing 41 runs off 35 balls. Tewatia, Parag, Buttler, Samson and Smith were all bundled under 30 which made it difficult for Rajasthan to touch the bar. Jofra Archer still managed to add 3 wickets on Rajasthan's side deserving an honorable mention.

Amid this stiff scuffle between Delhi and Mumbai for the top spot, it will be really exciting to see tonight's battle between Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rahul's Kings XI Punjab at 7:30 PM.
