Jaipur set to host weddings amidst spike in Corona Infection

Jaipur with a spike of 3,000 Covid Cases, is now becoming a favourite destination for wedding from 25 november to november 30


A record number of weddings will be held in Rajasthan from November 25 until November 30 which is one of the most auspicious dates for wedding ceremonies in the Hindu calendar. State capital Jaipur alone is likely to witness a record 4,000 weddings even in the pandemic, a treasure trove of traditional and royal buildings in Jaipur has always attracted people not only from India but abroad as well. However this time the state government is more vigilant and careful owing to the rise in Corona infections.

Covid cases in Rajasthan have seen a 1.34 % rise in the last four days. The state's active caseload has crossed 26,000. State capital continues to report over 600 cases, the highest across the state. State capital authorities worried about the spike in cases  and imposed that a night curfew would be imposed.

The Ashok Gehlot government has also put restrictions on more than 100 guests and has made it mandatory to use masks and sanitizers. Any breach of these conditions and rule will invite a fine of Rs. 25,000, the government has said.

According to Rajasthan health department's records fresh cases are 3,285 whereas 18 more cases are related to Covid- deaths on Wednesday,. The state's infection tally now staged at 2, 53,767, while 2,218 cases reached death because the pandemic.
