Kareena and Amrita have mild symptoms and are in-home quarantine


Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora have tested positive for Covid-19. Both the actresses have mild symptoms and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked them to remain in-home quarantine.

 

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan confirmed the news, “I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself while following the protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested.”

 

ANI also tweeted on this news, “Actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Singh tested positive for #COVID-19. Both of them had violated Covid-19 norms and attended several parties. BMC has ordered people, who came in contact with the two actors, to undergo the RT-PCR test: BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation)

 

“My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully, I am feeling ok and hope to up and about soon,” the actress added.

 

BMC ordered an RT-PCR test for all those who came in contact with both Kareena and Amrita.

 

Kareena’s house was sealed on 13 December. The actress took the Covid test 2 days back and the reports came back positive. The people who came in contact with her have been tested by BMC and their reports will come on 14 December.

 

BMC officials said that they are investigating reports that the actresses had violated Covid-19 rules by going to parties. They were last seen together at a party hosted by Rhea Kapoor in Mumbai.

 

Twenty cases of omicron have already been reported across Maharashtra. Seven of them have been discharged from the hospital. Large gatherings have been prohibited to control the spread of the virus.
