Karnataka Minister Refuses To Wear Mask Says "It's My Decision"

These days Violating Covid-19 norms and not following appropriate behavior for Covid-19 has become a normal scenario for everyone including Ministers and others.


Karnataka Minister, Umesh Katti came into the limelight after he refused to wear a face Mask for Covid-19, violating Covid norms he says, "It's my decision." He is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and is currently the minister of Food, Civil Supplies and consumer affairs, and forest in the state.


According to the statement, when asked about, He covers the prime minister's statement and said, "The prime minister has said there is no restriction or self-responsibility with regard to wearing a mask. It is an individual decision to wear a mask or not, he said, I feel I don't have to wear it so I haven't. No problem."


India is witnessing a hit of the third wave, with the deadly scenario all across the states. The states are witnessing are under restrictions and lockdown-like scenarios. Additionally, people are being fined for not wearing a face mask, not following appropriate behavior for Covid-19, and for violating norms. 


Karnataka is always seen in all these types of activities; earlier Congress chief DK Shivakumar was seen refusing for getting tested for Covid-19.

 

On the other hand, cases are also at their peak. On Monday, the Karnataka state reported 27,156 cases of Covid-19 and 14 deaths leading to the infection in 24 hours.

 

According to the data, the active cases in the country stood at 2,17,297, the positivity rate drops to 12.45, and the fatality rate stood at 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the state reports 41,457 cases of new Covid cases with a positivity rate of 22.30 percent.
