Kerala announces relaxations,Kerala Government has re-categorised the local self-government institutions based on a 7 day average Test Positivity rate(TPR) of Covid-19.


Covid-19  cases have been declining in the Country, whereas fear of the third wave of Covid-19 is on the head.Meanwhile, the Country is relaxing the Covid-19 restrictions in the states as well as Union territory. Whereas Kerala Government has re-categorised the local self- Government institutions based on a 7 day average Test Positivity rate(TPR) of Covid-19. The Kerala Government has also announced relaxing restrictions in the state.

Talking about the relaxations in the state:-

•gyms, indoor games and tourism destinations to reopen.

•Government offices function with full strength where the test Positivity rate is low.

•The Government has now decided to classify local bodies into four zones naming A, B, C And D. Whereas A zone will be considered under the Test Positivity rate below 5 per cent and B zone will be considered under test Positivity rate between 5 -10 per cent. Whereas Government offices in A and B category can function with full staffs with the local bodies with TPR between 10 -15 per cent and those above 15 per cent will fall under category C and D.

•Hotels, homestays, resort to function by Standard operating procedures(SOP) guidelines provided by the Union Ministry and Ministry of Tourism and only vaccinated people will be allowed to enter this area.

•Restaurants and hotels will be allowed to provide parcel services only which fall under the A and B categories.
