Kerala Government imposes quarantine, strict action against violators, as per the order

The order also said that home delivery of essential items will be provided to the quarantined person.


The Kerala Government on Friday announced that the state will implement a strict system of quarantine as well as action will be taken against violators. Meanwhile, the state is witnessing 30,000 daily Covid-19 cases.

As per the state government's order undersigned by Chief secretary VP Joy, "The quarantine and isolation norms stipulated therein shall be strictly enforced throughout the state by implementing agencies."

According to the government guidelines, "Action shall be taken against people violating the norms of quarantine invoking the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, Kerala State Epidemic Act and other relevant legal provisions in force."

Whereas yesterday around 65 students of Kerala tested positive for Covid-19 in Karnataka's college. They have been provided isolation facilities. Meanwhile, according to official data, the state on Friday witnessed 29,322 new Covid-19 cases which took the overall caseload to 41,51,455 with 131 fatalities and the death toll mounted to 21,280.
