Kisan Sarathi platform was launched by the Indian Government to provide additional support to millions of farmers to get crucial information at their fingertips. It is a digital platform where farmers can get information about crops in crop production among other things that will help them in improving the number of their products with the help of this platform farmers will be able to get information about good crop practices and the amount of the produce and many basic things. Whereas this information will be provided directly by the scientists.
The scheme was launched by the information technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, along with the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Narendra Singh Tomar via video conferencing on Friday (July 16). He also said that many Ministries are coming together to benefit the farmers and noted that the farmers and traders will be able to buy and sell crops easily with the information shared on the newly launched digital platform on the Country's farmers. Whereas Tomar also termed Kisan Sarathi as an important platform for farmers.
Farmers can also learn new farming methods using this platform which was launched by the Indian Government on the 93rd Foundation Day of ICAR.
