Lab Issuing Fake Covid Reports Raided In Gurugram

Rs 2,000-5,000 were charged For Fake Negative Reports!


 

The Haryana Chief Minister's Flying Squad has raided a diagnostic lab accused of preparing fake Covid-19 reports.

 

According to official official information, the team nabbed the lab assistant while the operator tried to flee.

 

 Covid-19 cases were rising with the fear of getting positive for the virus. Many travel restrictions and other prohibited areas entry were banned due to which people used to get their fake reports done. As per the information, the lab used to charge fees at different prices from rupees 2,000 to 5,000 they used to charge for a negative report of Covid. Also, for the Covid-19 test they used to take rupees 900 as per the legal value, the charges can't be more than rupees 299. 

 


An FIR has been lodged against the department at DLF Phase -3 police station. According to DSP Inderjeet Yadav of the Chief Minister’s Flying Squad, they were tipped off that Good Health Diagnostic, located at Nathupur Road in DLF Phase-3, was issuing Covid test reports fraudulently. The DSP said, "We informed the Health Department and drug controller, and a joint team was formed which conducted a raid at the lab. A decoy customer was sent to the lab seeking a fake Covid report and the lab assistant promised him the same after taking money. When the decoy customer signalled, our team nabbed the lab assistant Sanjeev (22), resident of Mahipalpur in Delhi."

 

He added, Lab operator Anuj Sharma, who originally hails from Uttar Pradesh, was not available at the lab and our team during the search found that they were giving Covid a positive report after taking money. The reports were being issued on the behalf of the SRL lab. An FIR has been registered under various sections at the DLF phase-3 police station.



According to the report by PTI, it said, According to the investigating officer, a fake report of COVID-19, a laptop, a printer, one phone, a rubber stamp and Rs 12,500 cash were seized from the lab.
