Lewis Hamilton now holds seven Formula 1 racing titles

Lewis Hamilton On Sunday attached himself with Formula One’s greatest icon Michael Schumacher’s seven world title winner and became the second person to register seven wins. His achievement for Mercedes at Istanbul Park, Turkey is the 94th victory of his career that enabled him to add the 2020 title to his championships of 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. He was on round 14 of the Formula 1 World Championship.

Hamilton, 35, is the son of a black father and a white mother whose parents separated when he was in his youth , growing up in modest circumstances. He lived in a municipal housing estate, and his father Antony held down three jobs to support his son’s racing career in karting. He was born in an underprivileged environment and was away from all kinds of luxury. He had an outstanding gift of speed and all the natural daredevil instinct of a born racer.

Leading from the pole was Lance Stroll in Racing point 1-2, as Esteban Ocon was hit by teammate Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas spun off at Turn 1. Hamilton jumped up from sixth to third but went off at Turn 12 and dropped back to sixth. He then attacked Vettle for the fourth, but ran wide complaining about the brakes and dropped behind Albon.

Albon then stepped up for Red Bull and took the fight to Perez and both of them scored into Stroll’s lead but by Turn 4, Albon was taken down from the third place.

Hamiton took a lead at Lap 37, after Stroll intended for a second set of inters and Lewis passed Perez on track. Lewis chose to stay on a set of intermediates for the majority of the race and this strategy led him toward the victory.
