Limbs on Wheels' van flagged off in Mumbai

Equipped with the Required facilities...

Another good initiative has begun in Dream City Mumbai. “Limbs on wheels” a van has been flagged off in the city.

The main aim of limbs on wheels is to provide hope for accident victims or who don't have (hands) by birth or due to some other reason would be provided with the facilities.

The customised van is fully equipped to work in villages or other rural settings. This initiative will infuse fresh hope in those who have lost their hand(s) either in an accident or don't have them by birth.

The customised van has been sponsored by Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospitals Group for the Inali Foundation, which has been engaged in fitting the prosthetic arms. The foundation helps to create access to prosthetic arms for people who have no other means to get treatment or afford the costs for personal or financial reasons.

Dr. S Natarajan, chief of clinical services at Aditya Jyot (unit of Agarwal’s hospital), said, "This is a very proud moment to be associated with such a noble initiative to provide limbs for the needy and poor. The van will support the foundation's cause, helping reach the most remote parts of India and helping the affected. We will continue to support Inali for future endeavors."

The van will go to villages after receiving data of the victims and will carry three staff members to assist and aid with the fitting.
