List of World’s most admired Men 2021 released; PM Modi ranked 8th

PM Modi beats Biden, Putin and Imran Khan in the survey

The list of the world’s most admired Men 2021 was released on Tuesday by global public opinion and data company YouGov.

PM Narendra Modi surpassed several world leaders and celebrities to retain the 8th position in the survey. He was ranked above the leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin, US president Joe Biden, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and among several others.

The list included several other Indian celebrities; Shahrukh Khan, former Indian Skipper Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan and former cricket Sachin Tendulkar. Meanwhile, actresses Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murty are on the list of the world’s most admired women. The list was topped by ex-US President Barrack Obama for the second year in a row.

YouGov is a British international Internet-based market research and data analytics firm, headquartered in the UK.

YouGov said that they gathered open-ended nominations from the panellists across 38 countries and territories, asking them simply: “Thinking about people alive in the world today, which (man or woman) do you most admire?”

This year’s study surveyed more than 42,000 people in 38 countries and territories to complete the list. The poll was conducted online in countries that constitute more than seven-tenths of the world’s population, YouGov added.
