Lookout notice for wrestler Sushil Kumar

An announcement was made to consider, Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar in connection with the death of a wrestler after an argument at Chhatrasal Stadium. The notice was issued on Sunday evening, a Delhi police officer said. Police said they had not written a statement for the other victims in the incident. The altercation allegedly took place out of an apartment in the Delhi area of Model Town.

Quoting the victims, the report suggested that Sushil Kumar was present at the scene when the fighting broke out. During the fight, wrestler Sagar Dhankad, 23, was killed and two of his friends were brutally assaulted in a stadium last Tuesday evening. Police said there was an altercation between Sushil Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others. The case was registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act at the Model Town police station.

“The suspects took the victims inside the stadium where they attacked them in the parking lot. Kumar was present at the scene when the incident happened, however, police are investigating his role in the assault, "police said."We have learned from the investigation that there was an altercation between Sushil Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others in the stadium parking lot," police added.

Sagar Rana and a few of his friends lived in a house “connected with Sushil” near the stadium. They were asked to leave the house and were forcibly evicted.

Police say Dalal, 24, a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana, has been arrested. It is alleged that Sushil Kumar fled to Haridwar after the conflict and stayed in an ashram. He later moved to Rishikesh. Sushil returned to Delhi a few days later and is currently in Haryana where he continues to change places.
