US lauds India for supplying COVID 19 vaccines internationally


Amid the times of corona pandemic, the rollout of vaccines has been a boon to mankind. After almost a year of raging struggle, the world finally got vaccines to counter the spread and contact of deadly coronavirus. In this humanitarian development of vaccines, India approved two vaccines namely Bharat Biotech's Covaxin and Oxford's Covishield developed by Serum Institute of India. Mentioning India as 'true friend', the United States applauded India for serving the global community. The nation is gathering praise from all over the world for supplying COVID 19 vaccines to several countries and catering both domestic and international demands with the same efficiency and perseverance.

In recent days, India has exported vaccines to Bhutan, Seychelles, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Mauritius under grant assistance. It has also begun commercial exports to Saudi Arabia, Brazil, South Africa and Morocco. “One can’t neglect India's significant act of catering vaccine demands in South Asian countries," the South and Central Asia Bureau of the US State Department tweeted on Friday. "Just like a true friend, India is using its pharma advancements to help the world."

With its huge vaccine production and delivery capacity, India produces 60% of vaccines globally. It has been entitled as 'pharmacy of the world'.
